First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to my supervisor, Prof.
Petr Sáha, my consultant, Extraordinary Prof. Natalia Kazantseva, and Dr. Marjan
Motiei for their unwavering support of my doctoral studies and associated
research. I am also thankful to Prof. Vladimír Sedlařík for supporting me in the
initial stages of my doctoral studies and for providing me with the opportunity to
work in the biomedical field, enabling me to complete my thesis and conduct
research in an area that brings me great satisfaction.
Secondly, I want to acknowledge Assist. Prof. Milad Kamkar for his support
during my international collaboration with the University of Waterloo in Canada.
Finally, I am deeply grateful for the support of my family, especially my beloved
father and my brothers Javid and Hamid, as well as my darlings Kiasha and
Adrina, my loveliest nephew and niece. They deserve a very special word of love
and gratitude for their inspiration and for making me feel special whenever I went
through hard times. Without their support and everlasting encouragement, I
couldn't have made this journey possible.
I would also like to remember and spiritually thank my beloved late mother,
Soghra Yadollahi, my late brother, Vahid Yadollahi, and my late sister – in – law,
